Five for Friday!

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for some Five for Friday Saturday fun tonight!

Hello, again! It's been a busy few months in the Brantley household! We moved into our new house right before Christmas... I'm still unpacking and nesting!! I also presented for the first time <insert GASP> at the SSTAGE conference! This was a huge deal for me and took so much preparation time on many levels. For weeks, I talked to myself in the shower, in front of the mirror, in the car, etc. all about how we intertwine character education and the RTI process at my school! HA! Facing my biggest fear ended up being pretty darn awesome!! Other than that, I've been savoring my family time...snuggling up with my babies as much as I can when I'm not in the classroom!

This week, we were wild about animals in first grade! Each student researched an animal, wrote a teaching book about it, and made an animal habitat diorama! We also enjoyed learning about different animal groups, sorting the animals we were researching into groups, creating animal group flip books, and so much more! Here are several snapshots of the fun and some of our favorite resources we used....

LOVE All Things Animal TV...great for snack time or quick minilessons on animals!

PebbleGo is an amazing research tool for first graders! Packed with tons of e-books on different types of animals! You do need a subscription to use it, but I think it's worth every penny!

After many requests, I decided to create a growing math pack bundle. A growing bundle means that you will get all of my current math units, as well as the ones I will be adding in the future. Please click on the link below to see what is included and details about what will be added soon! I'm so excited to finally release this and can't wait to share my other units with you. They will be packed with hands-on games, activities, printables and more to keep your students engaged and having fun during your math time!
 Check it out here

I have 5 more days until Spring Break...need I say more!! It's going to be a week full of gym duty, our first grade play performance, and our first field trip!

Are you ready for Easter? We sure are here! On my way to go run the rest of my "bunny errands" before tomorrow morning!!

Hope you have a BLESSED weekend!

I love Pebblego! This is a great resource for our little researchers at home. My kids were hooked the minute they logged on to the website. Will check out your math pack bundle as well. Thanks Anna!

In the event that you are burning through 1 hour for every day, the expense is $2.66 every hour. To me that appears to be a great deal more reasonable. I'm not saying that you shouldn't go to the rec center, however ensure you know the amount it is truly costing you. payday loans
