Five for Friday {Nashville, Numbers to 120, Daily 5, Labor Day Sale & More}

Thank you sweet Jesus for the 3 day weekend. I'm tired...and sleeping in sounds better than a million bucks right now. Not kidding.
Here's a random recap of my week...
Happy 1st Birthday, Rosie!!
My sweet family and I went to Nashville to celebrate my niece's first birthday! My sister did such a cute job planning and decorating for the party. Best part {other than being with my whole family}- they had a snowball truck in their backyard...yum.yum.yum.

P's First Homework Assignment
We had a huge milestone moment in our house this week....Parker had his first homework assignment! We had to put pictures of things our family loved around the letter B {for Brantley}. He was so excited about it, which melted my mama heart:)

Daily 5 Coaching!
Our Daily 5 stamina is getting stronger by the minute. One of my favorite parts of Read to Someone is the time or coaching strategy. I made bookmarks with our reading strategies to help them coach each other. You can grab your free copy {here}!
Numbers to 120!

My firsties are having fun learning all about numbers to 120. I'm using many of the activities and games in my Numbers to 120 math unit.
Yesterday, we read and made Thundercake to add a sweet touch to our weather unit! We cooked it in my Crock Pot, so our classroom smelled like chocolate heaven!!!
Crock Pot Thunder Cake: {recipe found here}
1 package chocolate cake mix (a no pudding added one)
8 oz. sour cream
1 ½ cups chocolate chips
1 cup water
4 beaten eggs
¾ cup oil
1 small box of chocolate pudding

Directions: Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Pour into a crockpot and cook on high for about 2 1/2 hours. Don't let it burn! Use a large spoon to take out. Put on paper plates. Top with whipped cream.

I hope you enjoy your 3 day weekend!! I'm having a little 20% off Labor Day sale in my TpT shop tomorrow to celebrate!

Anna, can you explain the Numbers to 120 activity? Are they cutting up parts and putting it together? I did purchase your number unit. Thanks!

Hey Nshade21! The picture is of a number chart puzzle activity in my Numbers to 120 unit. The students cut apart their puzzle {I have different levels of difficulty in the packet} and put them back together. There is a direction page for the puzzles to give you more information. Thanks so much for your purchase!! :)Anna
