Categorizing Words Literacy Center FREEBIE!!!!!

Oh how I've missed blogging!!!! This school year has kept me extra super busy, but I'm loving my new crew & my student teacher!!!

I feel bad that I haven't shared any pictures of my classroom yet!! I planned to include them in this post, but I left my camera at school. BOO!!! I will post them this week so you can see my home away from home!!

I'm not going to leave you empty handed tonight though!! One of the Common Core standards I'm teaching this week is L.1.5.{Sort words into categories (e.g., colors, clothing) to gain a sense of the concepts the categories represent.}
I put together a little center to reinforce this skill!!
Click on the picture to go to my TpT store to download it for FREE!!

I'll be back before the end of the week to *finally* post pictures of my classroom!!!
Have a wonderful week!!!

Common Core-Writing Narratives All Year Long in First Grade

I can't believe I've already been in school for 2 weeks! WOW! Time flies when you are having fun!! I'm loving that routines and procedures {for the most part} are in place! That means it's Common Core time!! Woot! Woot!

I'm so excited to start teaching my little writers about narratives next week! I'll be supplementing my lessons with my new Common Core-Writing Narratives All Year Long in First Grade resource.

 It includes graphic organizers that can be used for organizing ideas for any narrative, writing prompt sheets for the entire year {all major holidays, seasons, etc.}, personal and fictional narrative task cards, editing checklists, and reflection sheets.
Here's a sneak peek.....
For more info about it, click {here}!

And here's a freebie for you! Click the picture to download a sample of fictional and personal narrative task cards that are included in the packet!

Stay tuned for the informational and opinion writing packets that are coming soon!

Have a GREAT week!!!
