I'm so excited to share my latest Common Core writing packet with all of you! I designed this supplemental resource to make it easier to reinforce the Common Core informational/explanatory writing standard for first grade {W.1.2}. It includes graphic organizers that can be used for organizing ideas for any informational piece, writing prompt sheets for the entire year {all major holidays, seasons, etc.}, informational and explanatory task cards, editing checklists, and reflection sheets.

This packet looks amazing! You know how to turn education into an exciting adventure. I’m sure all kids would love a copy of those copybooks. Moreover, it’s great that they can color it after the lesson. I think more teachers should use supplies like this during the lesson. Back in college I did essays writing on how to make lesson both productive and entertaining. Sadly, young teachers are either too strict or too casual when it comes to the curriculum. These print outs are the best to make studying interesting and successful. Thank you for your hard work!
